i am assuming you dont have "evolution emails", but that you are trying to
access an email account using evolution as the client? i would confirm the
creds and try thunderbird to troubleshoot if evolution is the issue. i
would file a bug against evolution if needed

pulse audio being "crap" is a matter of opinion... not really constructive
here... i would file a wish list bug stating something like "pulse audio is
inappropriate for ubuntustudio".. or just purge it on your system. i have
personally used pulse and alsa only, and had issues/concerns in both
situations
