I guess professional photographers seldom earn their money by
exhibitions, but instead by doing photos for the Internet or magazines.
The magazines usually capture the averaged color impression of all
pictures from the first to the last site of the magazine and then do the
printing with this averaged setting. Internet photos, no comment. For
this "good enough" is ok and I'm aware that this is done, but I've seen
comics and photos that where completely distorted (I know the
originals), because of the printing. More and more bands today make
analog recordings again! All those heavy rock bands with 20 year old
guys, inspired by Black Sabbath, MC5 etc., http://www.cosmiclava.de/ ,
while analog audio equipment is much more expensive today.
