Networking using 11.04 killed wireless settings

Hi Mike,

I would like to understand more about what you are experiencing so I might
be able to help you. Bear with me as there will be a few questions below.

Are you using Ubuntu or Ubuntu Studio? I am presuming that you are using
Ubuntu Studio since you emailed the Ubuntu Studio developer mailing list.

That is interesting that your wireless connection no longer works as we are
using network-manager which is not only what plain, vanilla Ubuntu uses, but
also the most robust and viable network manager in the repository.
Although, I suppose a small minority might argue that WICD is.

Do you know the reason that you needed to reset the MAC filtering? Did you
do something to the original settings to cause this? Were there other
adjustments made that might also be hampering your wireless connection?

I'm not sure if this statement is intended to be witty or factual, but 11.04
is technically no longer Beta as it was release on April 28th.

However, I am a little confused because you mention Unity. Ubuntu Studio
does not ship with Unity. This would seem to imply that you are using
vanilla Ubuntu instead of Ubuntu Studio.

If you are using vanilla Ubuntu instead of Ubuntu Studio you might consider
reposting this email to the appropriate mailing list.
