Te problem isnt on the WM per se, but on the amount of lib it needs to
load to work, plus the "weight" of its associated applications.
For instance, thunar (XFCE file manager) Is way more lighter than
Nautilus (gnome). Using Gtk doesnt mean that XFCE is as heavy as
Gnome.
You should try xfce and compare.
