This is not necessarily mission critical, but with two audio interfaces you
can now play music with on-board sound card while using a second (say, Delta
44 or firewire for example) to play guitar along with the music.

I had a post describing some testing along those lines:

But if you can bridge them together then you can route something from
anything Pulse can play into JACK and record it in Ardour, for example.
