Jack/Natty crashes on "Cannot create thread 1 Operation not permitted" error

One issue I see right away is that you should not be using Ubuntu
Studio Controls to adjust the realtime settings.  Unless things have
changed (perhaps they have), Ubuntu Studio Controls edits
/etc/security/limits.conf, which is the wrong file.  The file you will
want to edit is /etc/security/limits.d/audio.conf.  Because you've
used Ubuntu Studio Controls, there's a chance that you have settings
in both limits.conf and audio.conf, and this can definitely cause
issues.

Make sure only one of those files has the realtime settings.  Hope that helps!
