Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: ubuntustudio-sounds

Since gnome has changed the sound applet to utilize sound themes, the
synaptic package manager should no longer require removing ubuntu-sounds
when installing another sound theme package such as ubuntustudio-sounds.
When applied outside of the package manager, the sounds can exist in
harmony and appear in the drop down list in the sounds applet.

** Affects: ubuntustudio-sounds (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
