  autopkgtests failure for version 1.6.1+dfsg-0ubuntu2

Status in pdfio package in Ubuntu:
  Triaged

Bug description:
  Version 1.6.1+dfsg-0ubuntu2 is currently stuck in -proposed because
  autopkgtests fail due to a stale patch. I cannot find the source for
  1.6.1+dfsg-0ubuntu2 imported, so I couldn't create a merge proposal
  with the solution.

  I built and tested the package in a PPA [1]. I am attaching two
  patches to this report for reference.
