..meanwhile this passed NEW in Debian:

Thus closing this in Ubuntu now, and will focus on uploading everything
only to Debian going forward as Ubuntu uploads are unlikely to be any
faster nor have additional benefits.

  too as the Debian NEW queue is processed by just one person and it
  takes months for packages to get through.
