xubuntu-meta - 2.266~ppa2 is available in PPA xypron/xubuntu-meta.

I installed xubuntu-desktop-minimal and xubuntu-desktop successfully on
a RISC-V SiFive HiFive Unmatched board with an Nvidia graphic card. It
works fine.

  FTBFS: Missing desktop files for riscv64

Status in xubuntu-meta package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Building for riscv64 fails due to missing desktop*riscv64 files.

  These can be copied from arm64 but the following package need to be
  removed from desktop-recommends-riscv64:

  * 'firefox' has no installation candidate
  * 'fwupd-signed' has no installation candidate
  * 'thunderbird' has no installation candidate
