Explanation of the Ubuntu delta and why it can be dropped:
  * New upstream release.
  * Drop (Build-)Depends on six.

The Ubuntu delta is basically new upstream package and dropping the b-d on six.
Debian now has an updated package and it does not have any dependency on six.
It has been built in a PPA and the build log can be seen at:
