The proposal to merge ~ogayot/ubuntu/+source/dbus:merge-lp2045668-noble into ubuntu/+source/dbus:debian/sid has been updated.

Description changed to:

A merge of DBus 1.14.10-3 from Debian unstable.

The new revisions from Debian include mostly packaging rework ; and also a new dependency on usr-is-merged, breaking support for any system with non-merged /usr.

This new dependency in Debian is not something that we want in Ubuntu ; because the usrmerge transition was done years ago in Ubuntu. Nowadays, the goal in Ubuntu is to demote usrmerge ; rather than promoting usr-is-merged. So the dependency has to be dropped.

Our Ubuntu delta is still needed ATM.
However, in an effort to eventually drop d/p/aa-get-connection-apparmor-security-context.patch, I contributed to bug 1489489 by opening a MP [1] (merged) to drop GetConnectionAppArmorSecurityContext from lomiri-download-manager. There are a few more packages that need attention, but once we get all of them addressed, we should be able to drop the patch from DBus.
