Bug description:
  hxtools fails to build with the error:

  /usr/bin/ld: /tmp/ccpYXPUA.ltrans0.ltrans.o: in function `main':
  /usr/src/hxtools-20231224-2build1/smath/<artificial>:263:(.text.startup+0x145): undefined reference to `BUILD_BUG_ON_EXPR'
