Looking at this as part of a patch-pilot shift, I suspect this is another ubuntu-sponsors should skip in favour of the kernel team reviewing it.

Unfortunately I don't see a way of un-subscribing ubuntu-sponsors from this merge so I'm leaving this comment here for future pilots.
