The ubuntu-sponsors team has been subscribed to this bug, but I think
this falls far outside what our standard sponsorship process is prepared
to handle.  Kernels should be coordinated with the Ubuntu Kernel team
regarding namespacing, git branches, etc., and sponsorship should be
handled by someone experienced with existing kernels to ensure a smooth
process.
