Hi vorlon,

I'm not sure if we could drop the transitional package now. libevent-{,core-}2.1-7a is introduced in kinetic, and we only supports upgrading kinetic to lunar.

So maybe we could drop it now. The this MP can be closed, and we just need to sync libevent from Debian experimental (for fixing building with glibc 2.38).
