38-2 does not include the ACPI patch in debian/patches/series. The patch
needs to be rebased to be applicable.

Title:
Sync efivar 38-2 (main) from Debian unstable (main)
Status in efivar package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Status in pesign package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
Please sync efivar 38-2 (main) from Debian unstable (main)
Explanation of the Ubuntu delta and why it can be dropped:
* Fix creation of boot options on non-ACPI systems (LP: #2029407)
d/p/0001-linux-handle-non-ACPI-systems-in-device_get.patch
* Ignore stringop-truncation warnings in text_to_guid, seen when building
with lto.
The 0001-linux-handle-non-ACPI-.... patch is now included in Debian.
The stringop-truncation warning patch seems unnecessary given build
success without it.
