Joshua,

If this has additional changes required before it can be synced, then
this is not a sync request.  Instead, what should be done is this should
be synced, and then a debdiff added on after the fact as a separate bug
or package revision to change this.  Alternatively, change the package
in Debian and then request a sync.

Because this is marked Incomplete and has procedural process changes
that are atypical, I am going to leave this as Incomplete and remove
Sponsors because this isn't ready for syncing if we are needing
additional changes to the package.

  cinnamon (5.8.4-1) experimental; urgency=medium

    * New upstream version 5.8.4
    * Provide .gir files in cinnamon package as full -dev package is
      not needed for applets, extensions and desklets
    * d/control:
      - add xdg-desktop-portal-xapp to cinnamon recommends
      - add touchegg to cinnamon recommends
      - build-depend on libgl-dev instead of transitional libgl1-mesa-dev
      - bump version of needed deps to 5.8
      - remove gir1.2-gnomedesktop-3.0 from deps as now unused
    * Refresh d/patches
