  lunar ppc64le build failure

Status in xdp-tools package in Ubuntu:
  Triaged

Bug description:
  As seen in [0], the xdp-tools build fails on ppc64le. Interestingly it
  does not fail on any other architecture.

  In Debian, the ppc64le (or ppc64el as they have chosen to call it),
  build is successful [1].

  It may appear that differences in defaults for compiler among the
  architectures in Ubuntu is exposing the failure.

  There also appears to be a difference in compiler defaults between
  Debian and Ubuntu, see attached diffs.
