Ah, there's actually something else: as Andreas mentioned before, one of
the things we have to check is whether the reverse-depends of the
package will build fine with the new version.  I looked at your
backports PPA linked above but couldn't find the rdeps there.

Here's the list:

  [Impact]

   * Version in Bionic had an experimental ipv6 part (added by ubuntu
  developers patch years ago) used in production by some users, Focal
  don't have it because had no enough upstream testing and was disable,
  recently was tested and fixed for next upstream stable version, I
  added the upstream fixes in now in Jammy and create a Focal backport
  can be useful for user already using the ipv6 part, see
