Title:
[SRU] Creating FIT images is not supported

Status in flash-kernel package in Ubuntu:

Status in flash-kernel source package in Focal:
  Fix Released
Status in flash-kernel source package in Hirsute:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  [Impact]

flash-kernel does currently not support creating FIT images. There are
some platforms where this is preferred, for instance for the Kria SOM
  platform.

This have been just fixed in flash-kernel 3.104ubuntu4 in impish (dev)
(LP: #1931278), and we would like this ported back to hirsute/focal to
support Kria SOM platform in focal.

  [Test Plan]

For testing, a Kria SOM device is needed. By install flash-kernel with
the fix, a file in path /boot/firmware/image.fit will be created, and
the system should be able to boot.

  [Where problems could occur]

The change adds new functionality which should not interfere with the
previous one. However, there is some small potential for a regression
happening. If that is the case, some hardware platforms that use
flash-kernel might not be able to update the bootloader or will break
it, making the system unable to boot.
