(I modified the changelog entry to 4.6.7-1ubuntu1, as groovy is the
development series, while the ubuntu 'dot' versioning is more for SRUs
if anything)

** Changed in: cinnamon (Ubuntu)
       Status: New => Fix Committed

Title:
  [Groovy Patch] Network applet - List of Wireless Networks doesn't
  refresh properly when clicking the applet logo

Status in cinnamon package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Committed

Bug description:
  This is for GROOVY, as we are post-Debian import freeze and Debian has
  not imported this patch yet.

  Will attach patch soon.

  At the moment of writing, for Focal we don't have any confirmation of this occuring there. If it happens on Focal I'll patch.

  [Impact]

   * As per upstream bug
  https://github.com/linuxmint/cinnamon/issues/9531:

   * When opening the network applet, the list of wireless networks is
  not refreshed properly. (It could show you nothing or not all the
  connections accurately)

  [Test Case]

   * Go on a wireless network
   * Create a new network (can be a hotspot)
   * Open the network applet and switch to the new network
   * Click the new network
   * Click the applet again-you are connected to the new network, but the new network doesn't show in the list of networks.

   * The user here doesn't see the network he is connected too.

  [Regression Potential]

   * Regression is very unlikely, however note:

   * I don't know how far back this bug goes to.
   * This may originate from 20.04.
   * Regressions can manifest from updates to internet connections (and/or new possible network appearances) or how the network is accessed from the internet.
   * If it were to happen, check to see if it happens on airplane mode.
   * This patch ensures the menu item will actually be there.

  [Other Info]

   * As said, we aren't sure if this occurs in Focal
   * Debian Bug #969245: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=969245
   * Commit: https://github.com/linuxmint/cinnamon/commit/42960e3975c800c71f634b6d6d9949dab64813f3
