You have been subscribed to a public bug by Oibaf (oibaf):

Please sync collectd 5.11.0-2 (universe) from Debian sid (main)

Explanation of the Ubuntu delta and why it can be dropped:
  * No-change rebuild for libxen* 4.11
  * No-change rebuild to build with python3.8.
  * No change rebuild against DPDK 19.11
  * Merge with Debian unstable (LP: #1855994). Remaining changes:
    - debian/rules: Work around FTBFS with glibc 2.30 with -Wno-cpp
    - debian/rules: Work around FTBFS with gcc9 -Wno-error=format-truncation
      on ppc64
All these changes are already available in the Debian package.

Explanation of FeatureFreeze exception:
The Debian version removes some useless dependencies that are no longer needed and that pulled in a lot of unwanted packages.
Also there are some fixes and improvemets, from both the new release and the packaging.
Backported for testing in my PPA:
https://launchpad.net/~oibaf/+archive/ubuntu/test/+packages?field.name_filter=collectd&field.status_filter=published&field.series_filter=focal
Thanks.
