Hmm strange enough that it fails on my system when applied the same
way.. Could you please do a PPA upload if possible so that I can sponsor
the same?

  desktop-environment be accepted into zesty.

    * Bug fix release (LP: #1672898)
      - hide duplicated archive-manager and Files icons from GCC
        notifications
      - reinstate gnome-region applet to allow keyboard switching
  (LP: #1672618)

  checks:

  lintian -i -I on the built package
  check-all-the-things on the source
