Hi Robert!

Sorry for the late response. Here is my review of this package (speaking
only as Ubuntu member, not as UM former maintainer):

* The debian/copyright icons/* section looks outdated. The original icon
by Daniel Fore is no longer present, but there are new icons which seem
to come from third party sources.

* The desktop file should not have a shebang. Lintian warns about it.

* debian/manpages file is empty, maybe delete it?

* This package uses dh_python3, so please add an explicit build-
dependency on ‘dh-python’ package. The python3 → dh-python implicit
dependency may be removed in the future. See
https://lintian.debian.org/tags/missing-build-dependency-for-dh_-
command.html and

* Idea for future: debian/rules can be simplified by using the new
pybuild build system. See https://wiki.debian.org/Python/Pybuild for
details.

Now from technical details to the organizational ones.
Ubuntu is currently in feature freeze since Feb 16th (see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/FeatureFreeze). You will need to either wait for Zesty release, or ask for a freeze exception. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/FreezeExceptionProcess#FeatureFreeze_for_new_packages for details.

Title:
  [needs-packaging] Unity Mail

Status in unity-mail package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  [needs-packaging] Unity Mail

Unity Mail is an application that integrates your mail into the Unity,
MATE, Xfce, LXDE and other environments.

Unity-Mail displays notifications about incoming mail, shows the
number of unread messages and displays subjects in the Messaging Menu
  from multiple accounts/folders.

The Launcher item also has a quicklist that provides access to your
mail folders (configured for GMail by default). It also allows you to
quickly compose a new message or run custom commands.

Unity Mail starts automatically, all you have to do is to enter your
accounts settings in a configuration dialog.

  Notes:
Unity Mail has already been packaded in Ubuntu from 12.04 until 15.04. After some stagnation, the project has been revived with a new developer/maintainer and has been available via a PPA since 15.10, receiving regular updates and new features.
