Title:
SRU: Rotate option fails to open dialog
Status in One Hundred Papercuts:
Confirmed
Status in nautilus-image-converter package in Ubuntu:
Fix Released
Status in nautilus-image-converter source package in Xenial:
In Progress
Bug description:
[Impact]
It is impossible to rotate images using 'nautilus-image-converter'
even though it presents a context menu entry advertising this feature.
[Test Case]
Install 'nautilus-image-converter' and restart nautilus via `nautilus -q`
in a terminal. Open a new Nautilus instance, right click an image, left click "Rotate images..." in the context menu. Nothing happens.
After installing the patched 'nautilus-image-converter' package and
restarting Nautilus, right click and image, left click "Rotate
images..." in the context menu and the image rotation dialogue is
presented.
[Regression Potential]
None. The fix is UI only.
[Other Info]
Simple fix in git, ie. remove 1 line from the .ui -
https://git.gnome.org/browse/nautilus-image-converter/commit/?id=23441ed6d74b4eba68333c802890cb396721a6d6
It's probable that few users actually use this app considering no reports in the 2+ years it's been broken.
On the other hand if a package is available to install it should work.
