Title:
  Request merge with Debian for libwnck

Status in libwnck package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  The Debian pkg-mate maintainers team have taken over maintenance of
  libwnck in Debian. Primarily this has been done to re-instate
  `gir1.2-wnck-1.0` so that `mate-dock-applet` can be added to the
  Debian and Ubuntu archives. In the process, the packaging in Debian
  has been updated.

  Attached are:

    * `debian-to-ubuntu.diff` - which is the merge from Debian unstable to Ubuntu and was prepared with the help of Iain Lane.
    * `debian-comparison.diff` - which is the comparison of the proposed merge to Ubuntu with Debian unstable.
