Title:
Add PRIVACY_POLICY_URL to /etc/os-release
Status in base-files package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
The /etc/os-release standard includes a PRIVACY_POLICY_URL field.
Ubuntu should implement this and set it to:
http://www.ubuntu.com/legal/terms-and-policies/privacy-policy
This field is actually used by the GNOME Settings app (gnome-control-
center) although we need a few other pieces for it to be shown to
users. (See bug 1614820 if you're curious about that).
Patch attached.
