The cgroup-bin preinst/postinst/postrm bits are all obsolete as they
were done in trusty already. This wasn't mentioned in your merge
changelog for the record.

+  * Merge from Debian unstable (LP: #1145036). Merge conflicts:
+    - Upstream has its own libcgroup-dbg package; use that instead of our own

There is no actual change that would reflect this description.

+    - Upstream has renamed cgroup-bin has been renamed to cgroup-tools, with
+      cgroup-bin left for compatibility. The cgroup-lite dependency is now
+      associated with cgroup-tools.

I'll clean up the weird grammar there :-)

However, there is no justification for this delta in the first place. It
was introduced in

libcgroup (0.38-1ubuntu1) quantal; urgency=low

  * Merge from debian unstable
  * Depend on cgroup-lite

  for a while, but Ubuntu is still stuck with 0.38.
