  vivid-proposed version FTBFS on ppc64el

Status in geographiclib package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Version 1.37-3 of geographiclib is not progressing to vivid from
  vivid-proposed due to a problem with the symbols file for the ppc64el
  architecture.

  A package with improved symbols handling is waiting in Debian NEW
  queue (v1.40), but for now a simple patch to the symbols file should
  get it building.
