The attachment "patch taken from latest version on github from author of
this program (if I not mistaken), solves problem for me" seems to be a
debdiff. The ubuntu-sponsors team has been subscribed to the bug report
so that they can review and hopefully sponsor the debdiff. If the
attachment isn't a patch, please remove the "patch" flag from the
attachment, remove the "patch" tag, and if you are member of the
~ubuntu-sponsors, unsubscribe the team.

Title:
HTTPTunnel Client (from root) crashing when trying to connect

Status in httptunnel package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
After connection established and some program trying to connect
through htc-to-hts (run with sudo) virtual port - client (htc)
  crashing.

  Appear on Ubuntu 14.10

Steps to reproduce (change IP if needed):

  1) sudo hts -wF 192.168.0.100:80 8080
  2) sudo htc -wF 8081 192.168.0.100:8080
  3) open in browser: http://127.1:8081

  my "htc" crash silently.

Of course, sudo is not needed for ports > 1000, but still bad
