  Rasterio FTBFS on i386 (fix included)

Status in rasterio package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Rasterio fails to build from source on i386 due to failing tests. A solution is attached. These patches were also applied upstream and will be added to debian as well (as soon as the libstdc++ transition is over).
