You have been subscribed to a public bug by Thomas Ward (teward):

[Impact]

 * automysqlbackup doesn't work with MariaDB as it installs mysql-client
instead. This is mainly due to the depends line depending on mysql-
client and not including virtual-mysql-client as an OR in the
dependencies.

[Test Case]

 * Install mariadb-client.

 * Attempt to install automysqlbackup.

 * Current state in Trusty: FAIL: Dependencies not satisfied.

 * With the change: it should work.

[Regression Potential]

 * Very very low. This shouldn't introduce new problems as it only adds
an 'OR' to the depends for the package.

[Other Info]

 * The solution is to add a single OR to the dependencies. This was
already done in later releases of Ubuntu, and Debian.

[Original Description]

Package depends on mysql-client, should depend on virtual-mysql-client.
It has been fixed in newer releases (14.10+).
See https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=732878 for Debian handling of this issue.
