You have been subscribed to a public bug by Ubuntu Foundations Team Bug Bot (crichton):

[Impact]
* Because it is not possible to open the preferences menu, some functionality is not available to the user.
* The crash prevents that the state of the game is saved (data loss)
* A workaround exists (install python-qt4-gl and remove python-pyside.qtopengl), but that is not obvious to the user.
The bug is solved by a patch that removes the ability to run pybik with pyside and require pyqt4, the alternative dependencies on the python-pyside.* packages are removed.

[Test Case]
1) Install package "python-pyside.qtopengl"
2) Run pybik
3) Activate menu item "Edit -> Preferences"
4) If the bug is solved, the Preferences dialog is opened,
else the program ends by a segmentation fault

[Regression Potential]
Minimal, only unnecessary functionality (run pybik with pyside) is removed in a leaf package.
Patch was made by the upstream author.

[Additional information]
Only the version in Raring is affected
