Matthias, I was simply following the names of the CMU projects:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/cmusphinx/files/

I admit it is a little confusing - but sphinx4, for example, is a
totally different piece of software than sphinx3 and so on.

In your example, I would expect the python modules to be called python-
sphinx3 and python3-sphinx3?
