Pull from commit 01f71a1344.

The newer version is primarily bug-fix only and doesn't include any new
features. There are some minor code refactoring involved and any bugs
arising from it has already been identified and duly fixed in this
release.

This latest version builds fine in Raring PPA (build
log:https://launchpadlibrarian.net/136336433/buildlog.txt.gz) and
installs fine as well.
