winff did not fully transition to libav in Ubuntu

Status in Winff - a GUI for ffmpeg:
  Unknown
Status in “winff” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed
Status in “winff” package in Debian:

Bug description:
winff is a graphical frontend to ffmpeg. It does not have ffmpeg as a
  dependency in Ubuntu 12.10.

If you install winff and run it, it complains it can't find ffmpeg or
  ffplay.

If you then install ffmpeg, it works.
