Hello,

It seems that Rhythmbox is not able to run with large collection (LP: #1010619)
There is no crash but a deadlock which is now fixed thanks to this commit: http://git.gnome.org/browse/rhythmbox/commit/?id=a2ead52faa45a37f28dff1e94cad5f0dadd28129 (linked to this bug: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=678032 )

This new version simply adds the upstream patch in order to fix the bug #1010619.

How to easily test the new version
 You can use the new version of this RB package available in my ppa:matttbe/ppa
 * Quantal (version 2.97-1ubuntu6 with this patch): https://launchpad.net/~matttbe/+archive/ppa/+sourcepub/2769368/+listing-archive-extra
 * Raring:
   * version 2.97-1ubuntu6 with this patch is already build: https://launchpad.net/~matttbe/+archive/ppa/+sourcepub/2768798/+listing-archive-extra
   * but the new version (2.98-0ubuntu2) is currently waiting to build: https://launchpad.net/~matttbe/+archive/ppa/+sourcepub/2774665/+listing-archive-extra
