Status in “gnome-boxes” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  GNOME Boxes is a simple app to access remote or virtual machines and
  is basically a SPICE frontend. Unlike in Debian, Ubuntu's qemu-kvm was
  not compiled with spice support. On Ubuntu, gnome-boxes should instead
  recommend qemu-kvm-spice which does have the spice support.
