This will not fix the dependency on apache2. Please look at the
dependencies of php5 and php5-mysql. Owncloud depends on php5 and
php5-mysql which will pull in apache2 so your patch will not fix this.

However there are some changes taking place in Debian that will fix
this.

Title:
Dependency on apache2 instead of httpd

Status in “owncloud” package in Ubuntu:
  Won't Fix

Bug description:
  Hi,

I'd like to run owncloud with lighttpd, not apache2, and from what I
understand, that should be entirely possible from owncloud's point of
  view.

What's holding me back right now is the dependency on apache2 that the owncloud package has.
I propose that this dependency be changed to the generic httpd.

  Cheers,
  Toby.
