Title:
debiandoc-sgml needs multiarch metadata to ensure dependency
satisfaction
Status in “debiandoc-sgml” package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Status in “debiandoc-sgml” package in Debian:
Fix Released
Bug description:
As part of making ubuntu 'bootstrappable' we are making sure that at
least the core system is cross-buildable.
For build-dependencies to work properly under multiarch this package
needs to be marked
Multi-Arch: foreign
so that it can satisfy a build-depenedency for any architecture. See
http://wiki.debian.org/Multiarch/CrossDependencies and
http://wiki.debian.org/Multiarch/Implementation for explanation and
background.
There are 11 packages in main which build-depend on this package (most
notably apt), and another 22 in universe. None of them will be
multiarch cross-buildable without this fix.
