Thanks a lot for your work on this.

I'm not quite sure I understand this request. I'm happy to sync 2.0-4
from Debian as it seems to fix an important bug. The change introduced
in 2.0-4ubuntu1 is not technically a 'merge' as it has (as far as I can
see) never been in Ubuntu before. I'll treat this bug as a sync request
for now. Could you please file a separate bug for the other change?

It'd be good to discuss in there why the change is necessary (isn't the
change in fontconfig enough?) Also please forward the change to Debian
as well, so we can bring the two packges in sync soon again.
