The diff below is incorrect, it only shows items being deleted from the .pc directory.  If you looked at the changes at revision 29 (http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~n-muench/ubuntu/quantal/open-vm-tools/open-vm-tools.may-merge.final2a/revision/29), there are files being added/modified.  And at the bottom of the diff (on this page), it specifically says "The diff has been truncated for viewing."  So it's only showing part of the diff (unfortunately it only shows the part of the diff that has the deletions to the .pc folder).
