Title:
  Removal request for service-discovery-applet in Ubuntu

Status in “service-discovery-applet” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released
Status in “service-discovery-applet” package in Debian:
  Unknown

Bug description:
  Hi,

  As already reported in debian bug #638122, service-discovery-applet
  should be removed since it depends on python-gnomeapplet (deprecated)
  and no more present in Ubuntu (oneiric and precise).

  As consequence, package cannot be installed -- reported in bug
  #884404.

  Snippet from gnome-python-desktop debian chagelog that once had
  provided python-gnomeapplet:

  gnome-python-desktop (2.32.0-0ubuntu4) oneiric; urgency=low

    * debian/control.in: drop python-mediaprofiles, python-gnomeapplet the
      corresponding GTK2 versions of those libraries are deprecated in GNOME3
