Status in “armadillo” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Recent toolchain update in Ubuntu has made the Armadillo package
  unusable (linking with -larmadillo doesn't work anymore).

  The fix has been released upstream in Armadillo 2.4.2:
  http://arma.sourceforge.net/download.html

  To fix, please sync armadillo 2.4.2 from Debian:
  http://packages.debian.org/en/source/sid/armadillo
