  Installing the Guest Additions manually works (see here:
  http://www.webupd8.org/2012/02/virtualbox-ubuntu-1204-guest-fixes.html
  ), so most probably, the virtualbox-guest-utils package in Precise
  needs to be rebuilt against latest X server to fix this.
