Hi Aron,

I see the package has entered unstable yesterday and as far as LTS
versions in ubuntu we sync/merge from debian testing. Is there any other
strong strong reason (I agree that its long overdue) to go in for a
immediate sync from unstable?

Please correct me if I am missing something here

  this is a version from the new maintainer of gcin, which has a long
  overdue from previous one.

     * Reupload to Debian. (Closes: #658449)
     * Imported Upstream version 2.7.2
     * Removed Dayi input method for DFSG compliance.
     * Remove all patches for cleanness.
     * Make debian/copyright DEP-5 compliant.
