Title:
USB SPL boot should be able to override local SD card on panda

Status in “u-boot-linaro” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
I'd like to use USB booting to override the local SD card on my
Pandaboard. This way, I will be able to do automated install testing
and provisioning, even when the bootloader installation on the SD card
  is broken.

Currently, with u-boot-linaro-omap4-panda-splusb, USB boot works but
uses the SD card's boot.scr. There does not appear to be a way to
specify a different boot script than the embedded default, so if the
SD card points to a kernel that is broken, USB booting always fails.

Is there any use case for USB booting to honour the SD's boot.scr?

I tried changing the embedded default boot script to skip out the mmc
parts of CONFIG_BOOTCOMMAND if CONFIG_SPL_USB is set, and this seems
  to work.
