The changes between -1 and -4 look reasonable to me, so it seems easiest
to just sync the package. I'll do that now.

Title:
Application crashes due to missing dependencies

Status in “gnome-subtitles” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
There are missing dependencies in this package that make the application crash for most users.
This has been fixed in the original Debian package, where the most important changes are the following (in debian/control):

  -Depends: ${cli:Depends}, ${misc:Depends}, ${shlibs:Depends}, libmono-i18n2.0-cil, gstreamer0.10-plugins-base
  +Depends: ${cli:Depends}, ${misc:Depends}, ${shlibs:Depends}, libmono-i18n4.0-all, gstreamer0.10-plugins-base, gstreamer0.10-x

This is enough to fix 2 important Debian bugs that also affect Ubuntu
(#663683 and #660336). On the other hand, if you find it reasonable to
apply all changes from Debian, I've attached the complete changelog
from version 1.2-1 (current in Precise) to 1.2-4 (latest in Debian
  Unstable).

  Thank you.
