You have been subscribed to a public bug by Scott Kitterman (kitterman):

Please sync openshot 1.4.0-1 (universe) from Debian unstable (main).

There is a new upstream release of OpenShot (version 1.4.0), and it
needs to be synced to Ubuntu 11.10. OpenShot Video Editor is a free,
open-source, non-linear video editor. We will need a FFe, so I am
attaching all necessary pbuilder logs and install logs. This version
has already been rolled out on the official OpenShot PPA for Ubuntu
11.10, and no issues have been reported.

OpenShot does not have a CHANGES file, but instead uses a LaunchPad milestone to document all the "changes":
https://launchpad.net/openshot/1.4/1.4.0 . Version 1.4.0 is much more stable in Ubuntu 11.10, compared to 1.3.1-1. This is why I highly recommend syncing this package before Ubuntu 11.10 is released.

Debian changelog(s) since 1.3.1-1 (the current version):

openshot (1.4.0-1) unstable; urgency=low

   * New upstream release.
   * Many bugs were fixed in this release. (Closes: #580381, #582289, #582297,
     #585400, #612847, #614177, #625920, #622238, #588182, #588580, #613449,
     #640898, #613481, #614174, #616574, #635392)

Testing:
The OpenShot team has extensively tested this version for Ubuntu 11.10, and it is much more stable than the previous version of OpenShot. We have even rolled this package out on the official OpenShot PPA for Ubuntu 11.10, and it has not had any issues with our users or testers.

Please let me know if I need to include any additional information for the FFe. Thanks!
-Jonathan
